Book Awards

Reading for pleasure

The Oxfordshire Book Awards is a popular reading shadowing scheme. In a similar manner to the Carnegie Medal, a long list of nominated titles is released which are later shortlisted, and then Secondary, Primary and Picture Book winners and runners up are announced at an annual awards ceremony.

Schools' students read along with the judging process as part of each school's reading-for-pleasure strategy, having fun discovering new literature and voting on who they think should win. Participating schools and their students are invited to the annual Awards Ceremony.

The voting deadline for the winner in each category is 15th April 2016 and the awards ceremony will take place in the Autumn term 2016.

RM Books is proud to sponsor these awards.
